On March 4, 2025, Dr. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, the Minister for Gender, Children, and Social Protection, announced the immediate termination of contracts for all Regional and Zonal Coordinators under the Ghana School Feeding Programme (GSFP). The Ministry expressed gratitude to the affected coordinators for their service to the nation.

The GSFP, a government initiative, provides free meals to public primary schoolchildren to enhance enrollment, attendance, and nutrition. However, the program has faced challenges, including funding delays, alleged corruption, and unpaid arrears to caterers.
