Cyclists are putting in extra hours of training in preparation for the upcoming Tour du Ghana, scheduled to take place from November 13th to 24th. The competition, which will traverse four regions including Eastern, Greater Accra, Oti, and Volta, promises to be an exciting event that showcases cycling talent and promotes cultural exchange.
A Different Approach This Year
This year’s Tour du Ghana is expected to attract both local and international visitors, with a unique blend of cycling and cultural promotion, dubbed the “Black Star Experience.” The event’s organizers are leaving no stone unturned, with the Ghana Cycling Federation’s Secretary General, Shaaban Mohammed, confirming that preparations are underway to make the event unforgettable.
President’s Attendance
The President is expected to attend the opening ceremony, flagging off the competition on November 13th. A total of 72 cyclists from 12 teams will participate in the event, which promises to be a thrilling display of endurance and skill.
Cyclists’ Determination
Visits to training camps revealed cyclists diligently riding along less frequented highways, determined to win the coveted trophy. The cyclists expressed their eagerness to excel and make their mark in the competition.
