The United States has lifted visa restrictions on Ghana, allowing Ghanaians to obtain 5-year multiple-entry visas. This development comes after months of successful diplomatic talks between the two countries, strengthening bilateral relations and easing travel restrictions.

This good news was directly communicated to the Foreign Affairs Minister, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa by the US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs, Allison Hooker at a bilateral meeting earlier today, in the margins of the UN General Assembly.
