Nene Osraogbo Djanmah, a Living Sacrifice to GaDaŋme – Osɔfo Nii Naate Atswele Agbo Nartey

Nene Osraogbo Djanmah XII is one of the true guardians of cultural and spiritual heritage for the Ga-Dangme people, and for that, he earns my unconditional reverence for carrying a role of such incredible responsibility and honor. His Holiness, Nene Osraogbo Djanmah XII, the Djange Wornor, stands as the revered Chief Priest of the Djange Shrine in Ningo, Ghana. A towering spiritual figure within the Great Ningo Traditional Area, he is truly a man to be celebrated across the entire Ga-Dangme nation. Nene, my heartfelt admiration and adoration go to you, Sir.

Nene Djanmah XII embodies kindness, selflessness, and greatness beyond measure. He knows when to exalt and how to abase, carrying wisdom with humility and strength with gentleness. His deep understanding of the natural order of things is a true sign of strength. God bless him, his children, and all his relatives.

Though I do not know him personally, my love and reverence for him run deep — so deep that I would even lay down my life for him. That is the depth of my devotion. I, Osɔfo Nii Naate Atswele Agbo Nartey, speak not only from emotion but in testimony to the character of Nene Osraogbo Djanmah XII — his reputation, and what he represents for Ningo’s identity, spirituality, and preservation.

For too long, we as Ga-Dangme have overlooked the need to offer sacrifices of praise and thanksgiving to those who live lives of sacrifice and service for our people. Nene Osraogbo Djanmah XII is one such leader, one who consistently places the needs of Ga-Dangme above his own personal desires. His decisions and his conduct reflect maturity, wisdom, and alignment with the very Word of God.

Ayekoo, Nene. May your light continue to shine for Ga-Dangme.
