The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Ablekuma North, Hon. Adamu Musah Kalamu, has highlighted a significant infrastructure surge in the Kwashiebu electoral area, describing the community as a “massive construction site.”
Speaking to journalists during a sod-cutting ceremony for the second phase of municipal projects, Hon. Kalamu emphasized the transformation currently underway. The initiatives are being executed through a partnership between the Municipal Assembly and the Member of Parliament, Hon. Ewurabena Aubynn.
Hon. Kalamu challenged the media to visit the area and witness the progress firsthand.
“Kwashieman is almost like a construction site now,” the MCE stated. “For years, this area did not have a single tarred road. I challenge you to see the progress for yourselves.”
The MCE noted that the works are part of the “Big Push” agenda, a development framework spearheaded by His Excellency John Dramani Mahama and Hon. Ewurabena Aubynn. He further explained that a single, dedicated contractor is managing the workflow across several zones to ensure consistency:
• Bintu Electoral Area: Initial phases completed.
• Awoshie Electoral Area: Work currently in progress.
• Kwashiebu: Rapid infrastructure development ongoing.
Commitment to Wesley Grammar School
The announcement took place at Wesley Grammar School, where a sod-cutting ceremony was held for new structures under the “Nkoko Nketenkete” government initiative.
During the event, the school’s Headmistress appealed directly to the MCE regarding the poor state of the school’s internal roads. Hon. Kalamu assured the school administration that their concerns have been officially earmarked for action.
“The Municipal Assembly has taken note of the Headmistress’s request, and I promise that these road concerns will be addressed,” he concluded.
