There are growing reports suggesting that Irene Naa Toshie Addo-Lartey, a well-known politician and former Administrator of the District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF), could become the running mate of Kennedy Agyapong. 

This is according to a report by Class Fm on Thursday, 2nd October, 2025.The information, which has been widely shared online, has sparked a lot of discussions within the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and among political observers.

According to sources close to Naa Toshie, she is considering throwing her support behind Kennedy Agyapong, the former Member of Parliament for Assin Central, as he continues his journey to lead the NPP as its presidential candidate. 

Many believe that her decision to align with him is part of a bigger plan to position herself as his running mate in future elections.

This speculation gained more attention after a prophecy by Prophet ElBernard Nelson-Eshun went viral. During an online service on October 1, 2025, the prophet revealed that Ghana’s ninth Vice President would be a woman. He described a vision where a woman was sworn in as Vice President on January 7, 2029.

Prophet ElBernard said the woman he saw would be a strong advocate for women’s leadership, breaking barriers and opening opportunities for other women to take on greater roles in governance. He added that the number nine symbolised new beginnings and believed that the woman carried a special mandate to bring positive change.

This prophecy has caused many people to link Naa Toshie to the prediction, especially now that her possible alliance with Kennedy Agyapong has leaked online.

Although Naa Toshie has not officially confirmed her plans or political direction, the reports have already stirred debate on social media. Political analysts say if the rumours turn out to be true, it could reshape the NPP’s internal politics and influence Ghana’s political landscape ahead of the 2029 elections.
