Former Member of Parliament and New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential hopeful, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, has launched a fresh verbal attack on Prophet Isaac Owusu Bempah, describing him as a “fake pastor” and vowing never to apologize to him under any circumstance.
The outburst was captured in a video posted by GH One TV on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, during which the outspoken politician addressed claims that he had allegedly wronged the founder and leader of the Glorious Word Power Ministries International.
According to Kennedy Agyapong, Prophet Owusu Bempah has for years manipulated and deceived Ghanaians under the guise of religion while exploiting his followers for personal gain. The Assin Central former MP said he has no regrets about exposing what he believes to be the dark side of the so-called “men of God” who use fear and prophecy to control people.
“I will never apologize to that fake pastor. He knows what he’s done in this country. He’s not serving God; he’s serving his stomach,” Kennedy said firmly.
He recounted instances where he claimed Prophet Owusu Bempah had prophesied politically motivated messages to mislead the public, insisting that Ghanaian pastors who use prophecy for profit are part of the nation’s moral decay.
Kennedy Agyapong, known for his blunt and fearless commentary, stated that he would continue to expose what he calls “spiritual deception” in the country’s religious space. He added that no amount of public pressure or criticism would make him retract his statements or apologize.
“They can call me whatever they want, but I will speak the truth. These so-called pastors are destroying families and manipulating politicians. I will not keep quiet,” he added.
The video has since gone viral, sparking heated debate among Ghanaians online. While some supporters praised Kennedy Agyapong for his courage to confront corruption in the church, others criticized his choice of words and accused him of lacking respect for the clergy.
Prophet Owusu Bempah, who has had several public clashes with the former MP in the past, has not yet responded to the latest remarks at the time of this report.
Political watchers believe Kennedy Agyapong’s renewed verbal attack could reignite old tensions between the two public figures, both of whom wield significant influence in Ghana’s social and political space.
Despite the controversy, Kennedy Agyapong remains resolute in his stance, stressing that he speaks out not out of hatred but out of a desire to see Ghana free from what he calls “religious corruption and hypocrisy.”
“If we want this country to progress, we must stop worshiping human beings and start worshiping God,” he concluded.
