Bawumia’s policy to have Free Zone enclave in all the regional capitals will raise and empower thousands of Entrepreneurs in NPP and create tens of thousands of sustainable jobs in Ghana for the teaming NPP youth.
His Constituency/District based Budegting will not only bring transparency in govt projects but would also offer the grassroot of the party the leverage to take advantage of opportunities — supply of materials, hiring of workers, masonry works, steel works, carpentry works etc. — associated with the execution of govt projects. For instance, if govt captures in the budget that it will build 10 schools, 2 clinics, a bridge etc in Koforidua, suppliers of materials for the projects, masons, carpenters, steelbenders etc. will be party people within the constituency/district. Contractors will not be selected in Accra for them to bring outsiders to execute the project. The job will be done by the local party people.
NPP’s ideology frowns on govt establishing and running public factories on the basis that it can never make party members rich and create sustainable jobs. Whoever is promising delegates that he will build factories to employ them is ignorant of the NPP’s ideology.
