Ghana Cycling Federation Withdraws from 2025 CAC Road Championships

The Ghana Cycling Federation (GCF) has announced that the Ghana National Cycling Team will not participate in the 2025 CAC Road Championships scheduled to take place in Kenya from November 19th to 22nd, 2025. The decision was made due to a scheduling conflict with the federation’s flagship event, the Tour du Ghana, which is set to take place from November 13th to 24th, 2025.

Commitments with Sponsors and Partners

The Ghana Cycling Federation had previously made firm commitments with sponsors, partners, and stakeholders for the Tour du Ghana, making it impossible to reschedule the event. Despite this setback, the federation remains committed to promoting cycling across the African continent and to the ideals of the Confédération Africaine de Cyclisme (CAC).

GCF’s Commitment to Continental Cycling

The Ghana Cycling Federation has expressed its gratitude for the understanding and collaboration from stakeholders, reaffirming its dedication to advancing cycling in Ghana and beyond. The federation’s decision highlights the challenges of managing competing events in the cycling calendar and its commitment to prioritizing key national events.
