One secret weapon to add to your cleaning routine is lavender essential oil. Chantel explained that applying lavender oil to your windows can deter spiders from entering. There are numerous ways to utilise lavender oil.
Chantel applied lavender essential oil to cotton wool balls and wiped them around window frames. However, you can also incorporate the oil into homemade cleaning sprays, reports the Express.
Zoflora suggests adding 15 to 20 drops of the oil to a spray bottle filled with water, and spritzing it around the house. If you don’t have any essential oils available, vinegar can be used as an effective substitute.
