GPHA AND GSA PLEDGE TO ENHANCE COLLABORATION TO STREAMLINE CARGO CLEARANCE

The Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA) and the Ghana Shippers’ Authority (GSA) committed to strengthening their collaboration to reduce delays and inefficiencies in the cargo clearance process. The commitment was made at a high-level meeting between the two institutions chaired by GPHA Director General, Brig. Gen. Paul Seidu Tanye-Kulono, and GSA CEO, Prof. Ransford Gyampo.

Enhancing Dialogue and Operational Coordination

The meeting resolved to enhance dialogue and operational coordination with regulatory agencies to ease cost burdens on shippers. The development was expected to improve the efficiency of cargo clearance processes, reducing the time and costs associated with importing and exporting goods.

Streamlining Cargo Clearance

By working together, the GPHA and GSA aimed at streamlining cargo clearance procedures, making it easier for shippers to move goods through the ports.
