The President of the Republic is set to deliver the State of the Nation Address today, and Ghanaians are eagerly anticipating his speech, hoping for solutions to pressing national issues.
Many citizens have expressed high expectations, citing his past achievements as a reason for their optimism.
“We are happy he won the elections because we know what he is capable of. I hope he addresses the economic challenges as he promised and gives us the true state of the country,” one citizen shared.
Another resident emphasized the need for tax reductions. “I want him to reduce taxes, as stated in the party’s manifesto. I’m also looking forward to hearing more about the ‘Better Ghana’ agenda he promised.”
Concerns about representation were also raised. A resident of Osu, who identifies as a Ga speaker, questioned the lack of Ga representation in the government, saying, “I want to know why there aren’t many Gas in his administration.”
Naana, another citizen, expressed confidence in the President’s ability to deliver on his promises. “Ghana is proud to have a leader like him. I want him to take action against those who have misappropriated funds meant for national projects. I’m already glued to my television, waiting to hear from a president who speaks the truth and follows through on his commitments.”
Kwame Blay highlighted the country’s paradox of wealth and hardship. “Ghana is rich in resources, yet the people are suffering. I hope his address brings us hope for a brighter future. Given his track record, I believe he can rescue us from the economic challenges caused by the previous government.”
As the nation awaits the President’s address, citizens remain hopeful for policies that will bring economic relief and national progress.
