Dr. Johnson Asiama has been appointed as the Governor of the Bank of Ghana. He brings over 20 years of experience from various roles within the bank, including Assistant Director at the Economics Department. Dr. Asiama has also worked with the West African Institute for Financial and Economic Management (WAIFEM) in Lagos, Nigeria.He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Southampton, UK, and an MPhil in Economics from the University of Ghana, Legon. Dr. Asiama’s research interests include monetary policy modeling, economic stabilization, and long-term growth in developing countries.
