Nana Gyan-Apenteng was a trailblazing former editor and columnist of The Mirror weekly newspaper, where his thought-provoking commentary earned him a loyal readership. He also held the traditional title of Apagyahene of Tafo Eti in the Eastern Region. His extensive career included stints as deputy editor of the London-based West Africa magazine in the late 1980s and early 1990s, and head of the communication unit and editor of Africa Agenda for the Third World Network .
