Prophetic Business Conference to Ignite Entrepreneurial Spirit in Ghana

A major five-day conference aimed at fusing spiritual guidance with practical business acumen is set to kick off next week, with organizers expecting to draw thousands of participants from across the nation. The Prophetic Business Empowerment Conference (PBEC) will run from the evening of Tuesday, March 3, to Saturday, March 7, 2026, at the auditorium of the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA).

While held in partnership with UPSA, the event’s organizers have emphasized that the conference is a public event designed for a broad cross-section of Ghanaians, including market traders, small business owners, corporate leaders, and the youth.

At the helm of the gathering is Prophet Nana Yaw Obeng, founder of the Prophetic Business Empowerment Ministry. He is slated to deliver a series of keynote addresses focused on unlocking the nation’s entrepreneurial potential under the theme, “Enlargement in the marketplace.”

Prophet Obeng described the theme as a “divine mandate” for the current season, stressing that its message transcends student life to address the financial challenges faced by everyday Ghanaians. “We are in a season of entrepreneurship; we are in a season of wealth creation,” Prophet Obeng stated ahead of the conference. “This is the time for every child of God to understand what God is doing in the business arena in order to walk in success.”

Drawing from the biblical passage 1 Chronicles 12:32—which highlights the men of Issachar who “understood the times and knew what Israel should do”—the Prophet will challenge attendees to recognize the importance of divine timing in accessing blessings. His message is expected to include a strong prophetic declaration that an individual’s background, education, or social standing does not define their potential for generational impact, urging a national mindset shift from dependency to self-reliance and viewing business as a vehicle for both personal and national development.

The conference is structured to blend spiritual inspiration with tangible, hands-on training. Daily sessions will commence at 6:00 p.m., pairing prophetic ministrations with practical business workshops.

A unique element of this year’s event stems from a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Prophetic Business Empowerment Ministry and UPSA. Student participation will be formally integrated into their academic assessments, requiring them to pitch business ideas for evaluation. Crucially, the most promising business concepts pitched during the conference—whether from students or members of the public—will be eligible for concrete support, including skills training in high-demand areas such as CCTV installation, sound engineering, and video production.

This collaborative model highlights a growing synergy between faith-based organizations and academic institutions in Ghana to proactively tackle unemployment by equipping citizens with the tools for self-employment.

As the March 3 start date approaches, Prophet Obeng is extending a final call to the nation to participate. “This is not just a church program; it is a national empowerment event,” he urged. “Whether you are a trader in Makola, a young graduate searching for a job, or a business owner looking for direction, this conference is for you. Come with an expectant heart, and let us walk into our season of enlargement together.”

The 2026 PBEC promises to be a transformative gathering for Ghanaians seeking to translate their entrepreneurial aspirations into reality.
