National Democratic Congress (NDC) Communications Officer, Sammy Gyamfi, issued a public apology for rewarding a vocal critic of former President John Mahama, a decision that sparked widespread criticism among party members.
In a statement, Gyamfi described the act as a “kind gesture” and expressed regret that it became public, acknowledging the uproar it generated among comrades who felt hurt by the decision.
“I am sincerely sorry for this unfortunate act of indiscretion,” Gyamfi said, while maintaining his commitment to public service and his role.
The controversy highlighted internal party tensions and raised questions about leadership decisions. Gyamfi’s apology aimed at mending relationships with party members and restore trust.
