“I will not disappoint Ghanaians, I will not disappoint His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, and I will certainly not disappoint myself. I am committed to delivering,” Adams stated, emphasizing his dedication to the role.

Addressing concerns over the deteriorating state of sporting facilities, Adams assured that his administration would prioritize maintenance and invest in new infrastructure. “We will strengthen our maintenance culture and ensure proper maintenance of existing infrastructure while constructing new ones,” he said ¹.

Adams’ vision for Ghana’s sports sector includes:

  • Revamping Sports Infrastructure: Upgrading existing facilities and constructing new ones to provide world-class training and competition venues for athletes.
  • Promoting Lesser-Known Sports: Prioritizing sports beyond football to ensure balanced development across all disciplines.
  • Enhancing School Sports: Collaborating with the Ghana Education Service to promote school sports and provide opportunities for young athletes.
  • Supporting Athletes: Introducing stipends for Ghana Premier League players to retain talent and improve the league’s quality.
