Ghana’s Top CEOs to Launch National Table Tennis Wellness Drive This Friday

This Friday, 19 December 2025, at 8 a.m. sharp, the ballroom of The Palms by Eagles Hotel in Accra will turn into Ghana’s newest corporate battleground, and the weapon of choice will be a table tennis paddle.

At the high-profile breakfast launch, chief executives from across banking, telecoms, insurance and manufacturing will officially kick off the CEO & Corporate Ghana Table Tennis Wellness Initiative, a nationwide movement that puts a ping-pong table in every participating office and crowns it with a biannual CEO & Corporate Ghana Table Tennis Cup.
The formula is refreshingly simple: companies install affordable tables, run monthly lunchtime sessions and friendly inter-departmental leagues, then send their top executives to compete against rival firms in a national tournament that promises as much networking as it does net-smashing.
Early adopters in Accra, Kumasi and Takoradi are already reporting packed tables, cross-department banter and a noticeable drop in afternoon sluggishness.

Organisers say the sport delivers a genuine cardio workout, melts stress in minutes, sharpens reflexes and, most importantly, reminds everyone that work can still be play.
The inaugural Cup matches are slated for early 2026, with more than 40 companies already confirmed.
So on Friday morning at The Palms by Eagles Hotel, when Ghana’s corporate elite step forward at 8 a.m. to serve the very first ball, they won’t just be launching an initiative, they’ll be serving notice: the future of workplace wellness in Ghana is fast, fun and 2.7 metres long.
