Ghana Badminton, BWF, and WAoS Award 100 Scholarships to Young Ghanaian Athletes

In a groundbreaking initiative, Ghana Badminton, in collaboration with the Badminton World Federation (BWF) and the World Academy of Sport (WAoS), has launched a transformative scholarship program aimed at empowering young Ghanaian athletes. The program will award 100 scholarships to dual-career athletes aged 15 to 18, providing them with the opportunity to develop new skills that enhance their career prospects and contribute positively to their communities.

This innovative program is designed to support young badminton players in schools and communities across Ghana. Through an online course, participants will gain valuable knowledge and skills that complement their athletic pursuits, preparing them for success both on and off the court.

The scholarship program is open to young athletes between 15 and 18 years old and will be completed within three months. On completion, participants will also be eligible for a post-graduate certificate in International Sports Management from the University of London. This will enable Ghanaian athletes to have a joint educational, elite sporting life, and emerging sports technologies.
