Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has observed that the latest mediation initiatives concerning the Bawku conflict have resulted in a phase of relative tranquillity in the region.

During the peace negotiations involving the rival Kusasi and Mamprusi groups, the Asantehene convened with delegates from both factions from April 28 to April 30, prior to the discussions being put on hold for the time being.
