Avita Ghana and Sackeyfio Family Provide Financial Relief for New Mothers at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital

In a heartwarming initiative aimed at supporting mothers in need, Avita Ghana, led by CEO Claris Quartey Papafio, has partnered with the Sackeyfio family of Swalaba to provide financial assistance to patients at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH). This generous effort focuses on mothers who have recently given birth but are unable to pay their hospital bills due to financial difficulties.

Earlier today at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, Claris Quartey Papafio expressed her commitment to helping those in need. “We are here to fulfill a divine commandment, to love one another,” she stated, referencing Colossians 3:14, which emphasizes love as a guiding principle in life. “Today, we are demonstrating that love by ensuring that mothers who have given birth can be discharged without the burden of financial stress.”

Avita Ghana has made a remarkable contribution, covering the hospital bills for 26 new mothers, totaling over 114,000 Ghana Cedis. This significant donation aims to alleviate the financial strain on families during a critical time in their lives, allowing them to focus on their health and the well-being of their newborns.

The management of Korle Bu Teaching Hospital expressed their gratitude for this partnership, which highlights the importance of collective efforts in enhancing healthcare access.

Quartey Papafio called on members of the public and corporate entities to join in this noble cause, encouraging them to support similar initiatives that provide essential services to those in need. “We are grateful to the management of Korle Bu Teaching Hospital for allowing us to demonstrate our love and support for these mothers and their families,” she said.

In an engagement with mothers who have benefited from this donation, Madam Claris Quartey Papafio reassured beneficiaries of the unwavering love and support that exists within, inspiring hope and solidarity. “To God be the glory,” she concluded, thanking everyone for their presence and support.

This initiative not only underscores the importance of community engagement in healthcare but also serves as a powerful reminder of the impact that compassion and generosity can have on the lives of individuals and families in need.
