ATU Holds Matriculation and Challenge Students to Uphold Academic Integrity

Accra Technical University (ATU) has held it’s matriculation ceremony challenging students to up hold academic integrity, avoid malpractice, respect university regulations, use laboratories, innovation hubs and participate in leadership and skills exhibitions.

  The University received a total of 27,795 applicants and admitted about 18,00 as 14,060 students however registered, while an additional 1,397 made some commitments but are yet to register for various challenges.

  Speaking at the matriculation ceremony in Accra, the Vice – Chancellor of Accra Technical University, Engr. Prof. Amevi Acakpovi adviced students to master their respective fundamentals, adding that the University will rest their ability including academic pressure as well as emotional stress.

 According to him, education is not only for employment but it is for knowledge saying, Nelson Mandela once said ‘’Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.’’ But education without discipline is powerless.

  ‘’ Think of this university as a work ship, you may feel the heat of assignments, pressure of deadlines, ‘’ he said, adding that pressure produces strength and bythe time of graduation you will enter into the world of works with your certificate.

  The Vice – Chancellor advised students to exhibit humility and be determined with their academic assignments which must be purpose driven to enable them graduate successfully at ATU.
