Angel Smile Foundation Donates to Korle Bu Teaching Hospital and La Polyclinic for Mother’s Day

Prophetess Naa Adoley Nmlami I, the Development Queen Mother of the Sempe Traditional Council, has donated wax prints and sanitizers to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital and La Polyclinic through her Angel Smile Foundation in celebration of Mother’s Day.

Iris Quashie, secretary of the Angel Smile Foundation, delivered the items on behalf of Prophetess Naa Adoley Nmlami I. She remarked, “We are from the Angel Smile Foundation, and this is not our first time making donations to this hospital. Our founder, Prophetess Naa Adoley Nmlami I, has sent us to deliver these items to wish all mothers a happy Mother’s Day. She consistently supports this cause, donating items during occasions such as Easter, Christmas, New Year, her personal birthday, and Mother’s Day as part of her commitment to sharing what she has with others. This is why our mother has sent us to you all. Happy Mother’s Day to everyone!”

On Sunday, May 11, mothers at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital and La Polyclinic, along with the staff, expressed their gratitude for the generosity of Prophetess Naa Adoley Nmlami I and prayed for her continued blessings.

In a remarkable act of kindness, Prophetess Naa Adoley Nmlami I also settled the medical bills of two new mothers at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, covering amounts of GH¢2,500 and GH¢3,500 to ensure their prompt discharge.

One of the new mothers, named Agnes, shared her story, explaining that she had been unable to pay her hospital bills due to her husband’s unlawful arrest. “I have been in the hospital since I gave birth because I couldn’t afford to pay my bills,” she said. “I am grateful to the Angel Smile Foundation for clearing my bill of GH¢2,500. God bless the woman.”

The second mother, Nana Yaa Sika, who was transferred from Takoradi to Korle Bu due to severe complications during childbirth, expressed her relief. She revealed that the father of her child had abandoned her. “I owed GH¢3,500 and had no idea how I was going to leave this hospital,” she said. “But thanks to the Angel Smile Foundation, I will be discharged today. God bless the woman abundantly.”

Nadia Iddrisu, a staff member at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, thanked the Angel Smile Foundation for their thoughtful gesture towards mothers on this special day. The staff at La Polyclinic also conveyed their appreciation.

Mr. Ebenezer Adjei Adjetey, the Coordinator of the Angel Smile Foundation, spoke to the press following the donations, outlining the mission of the foundation. He extended warm wishes for a happy Mother’s Day to all mothers, as well as to Prophetess Naa Adoley Nmlami I and her daughter, Mrs. Agnes Mensah.
