The Angel Smile Foundation on Easter Friday donated a large consignment of essential food items, water, and assorted soft drinks to patients and medical staff at the La Polyclinic and the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital to mark the Easter festivities.

The charitable exercise, which brought relief to hundreds, was organized in honor of the Easter season and the upcoming birthday of the founder of the Angel Smile Foundation, Naa Adoley Nmlami I, who serves as the Sempe Development Queen Mother.

The day’s activities commenced early Friday morning at the La Polyclinic, where the foundation team distributed well-packaged meals to patients in various wards. The beneficiaries, many of whom were spending the holiday away from their families due to illness, expressed deep appreciation to the Queen Mother for her benevolence and for remembering the sick during a period of national celebration.

Following the successful distribution at La, the team proceeded to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital to continue the mission. The first point of call was the National Cardiothoracic Center, where meals were shared among both patients and the duty staff. Receiving the items on behalf of the center, Naa Adoley Mooley Coffie, a nurse at the facility, expressed profound gratitude to Naa Adoley Nmlami I. She noted that the gesture was a significant morale booster for the staff and patients alike, and she offered prayers for continued blessings upon the Queen Mother’s life.

She remarked that the department has come to recognize and rely on the Angel Smile Foundation due to its “continuous donations” over the years. Mrs. Turkson concluded by wishing the founder long life and prosperity as she continues her humanitarian work across the capital.
