The 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) will commence on December 21, 2025, with Morocco hosting Comoros at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.
A total of 24 teams have been organized into six groups of four. Each team will compete in a round-robin format, playing against the other three teams in their group.
The top two teams from each group will automatically advance to the knockout stages, while the third-placed teams will aim to secure one of the four additional spots available. Among the six teams finishing in third place, the best four will qualify for the round of 16.
Following this stage, the tournament will proceed as a knockout competition until the AFCON 2025 final, scheduled for January 18, 2026.
The match schedule has been finalized, although the kick-off times may be subject to adjustments.
