Renowned Ghanaian entrepreneur and philanthropist, Daniel McKorley, has pledged GHS200,000 to support the newly launched Volta Youth Fund.
The pledge was announced during the official launch of the fund on Saturday, March 7, 2026, as part of the Volta Youth Fest 2026. The initiative is aimed at empowering young people in the Volta Region by providing financial support and opportunities for entrepreneurship and innovation.

Speaking at the event, Dr. McKorley reaffirmed his commitment to youth empowerment, noting that he will continue to support the fund to ensure more young people in the region are given the opportunity to pursue their entrepreneurial ambitions.
A key feature of the Volta Youth Fund is the provision of interest-free loans to support youth-led businesses. This approach aligns closely with initiatives of the McDan Foundation, which has long championed financial empowerment by providing interest-free loans to women to help them start and expand their businesses.
Through the McDan Foundation, Dr. McKorley has consistently championed youth development across the country. As part of his ongoing efforts in the Volta Region, he has already taken up about 15 young entrepreneurs from the region, providing them with funding, training and mentorship to help build and grow sustainable businesses.
His pledge to the Volta Youth Fund further underscores his belief that investing in young people is key to driving economic growth and creating long-term opportunities for communities.
