The 7th edition of agrofood & plastprintpack Ghana 2025: A premier gathering for Ghana’s industry

(Heidelberg / Accra) Building on the remarkable success of the first six editions of agrofood & 

plastprintpack Ghana, featuring a top-level trade show, conference, and active participation from key 

Ghanaian ministries and associations, we are delighted to announce an even more vibrant experience for 2025.

Taking place biannually, the 7th edition in 2025 will again be a key gathering for Ghana’s and West 

Africa’s agrofood and plastprintpack sectors. Organised by fairtrade and ACE GROUP in collaboration with Geovision, the exhibition and conference will be held from 28 to 30 October 2025 at the Grand Arena, Accra International Conference Centre.

New Highlights in 2025

• High-level Conference Programme

A rich conference agenda will bring together policymakers, technology leaders, and industry experts to discuss agribusiness development, food processing, sustainable packaging, and circular economy models.

• Netherlands Pavilion

The Netherlands Pavilion will again showcase Dutch innovation and sustainable agri-technology, supported by strong institutional partners from the Netherlands.

• ITC Pavilion

A new feature in 2025: the International Trade Centre (ITC) Pavilion, bringing exhibitors from Nigeria and Côte d’Ivoire together under one roof. This regional initiative promotes South-South cooperation and business partnerships within West 

Africa.

• South Africa Pavilion supported by Western Cape

The South Africa Pavilion – supported by the Western Cape Government – will highlight advanced food, beverage, and packaging technologies from leading South African innovators.

• Exhibitors from 15 countries

Companies from China, Côte d’Ivoire, Egypt, Germany, Ghana, India, Kenya, the Netherlands, Nigeria, 

South Africa, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, Thailand, and the United Arab Emirates will present 

technologies, products, and solutions tailored to the Ghanaian and West African markets.

Strong performance in 2023

The 2023 edition was a tremendous success, featuring 63 exhibitors from 12 countries and 

pavilions from GEPA, GIZ, Italy, the Netherlands, and Nigeria. An impressive 89% of exhibitors reported being satisfied or very satisfied with the event.Ghana’s agrofood & plastprintpack market trends

• Food & beverage technology: Investments increased from €59 million in 2017 to €73 million in 2023 

(+3.6% per year, VDMA).

• Food & beverage ingredients: With a population exceeding 40 million in 2024 and projected to reach 

80 million by 2050 (World Bank), Ghana represents a fast-growing consumer market.

• Food trade: Ghana imported food worth US$1.8 billion and exported US$3.0 billion in 2023 (WTO).

• Plastics technology: Imports grew from €23 million in 2017 to €42 million in 2023 (+10.6% annually, VDMA).

• Packaging technology: Imports reached €32 million in 2023 (VDMA).
