The District Chief Executive for Awutu Senya West, Hon. James Kalala Eghan, has reaffirmed his commitment to advancing agriculture and creating opportunities for the people of the district during a productive engagement with officials from the Ghana Cocoa Board Authority at the Assembly.
The meeting explored potential employment avenues and stronger cooperation between the two agencies. COCOBOD was represented by the HR, Marketing Manager, Head of Security, and two local representatives. Discussions focused on youth employment, cocoa initiatives, and sustainable collaboration. A symbolic box of chocolate was presented to the Assembly.
Awutu Senya West, a proud cocoa-growing community, continues to invest in sustaining and expanding cocoa production. Recently, the Member of Parliament distributed over 400,000 cocoa seedlings to farmers, boosting yields and improving livelihoods.
Hon. James Kalala Eghan assured that the Assembly, with COCOBOD, will continue to drive initiatives that benefit farmers, create jobs, and strengthen sustainable growth in the district.
