ECG Announces Power Outages for Maintenance on July 13, 2025

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced that on Sunday, July 13, 2025, various regions across the country will experience temporary power outages due to scheduled maintenance aimed at enhancing service quality and improving the reliability of the power distribution system.

In public announcements made on Friday, July 11, the ECG detailed that the maintenance activities will primarily affect the Western, Tema, and Greater Accra regions.

The company emphasized that these maintenance works are essential for upgrading infrastructure and ensuring that energy is delivered efficiently to both residential and commercial customers.

In the Western Region, two maintenance sessions are planned. The first session will run from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, impacting areas such as Vienna City, Mankessim White House, Accra Station, and nearby communities. The second session will take place from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, affecting Daboase, Sekyere Krobo, Sekyere Nsuta, Aboaboso, Bosomase, and surrounding areas.

In the Tema Region, maintenance will occur from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, affecting communities including Mobole, Ataa Mensah, Boishe, Afienya, Philip Kope, Greenhouse Enclave, and their surroundings.

The Greater Accra Region will see maintenance activities from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, leading to power disruptions in various industrial and residential areas. The affected locations include Kings Cottage, KICC, Taxis Tires, Western World, Guinness Depot, Rebecca Fashion Manufacturing Ltd, Frosty Bite Company, Perfect Pharmaceutical, Shivan Ghana Ltd, Mawums, Akuaba Refinery, Eskay Pharmaceutical, Royal Crown Ltd, West Coast Beverages, Equator Foods, Intelligent Card Products, Healthy Life, DPS, Daysack Company Ltd, Afro Tropic, and nearby regions.
