The National Chief Imam, Sheikh Nuhu Sharabutu, has offered prayers and blessings for the newly elected executives of the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) during a courtesy visit to his palace in Fadama, North Kaneshie, Greater Accra.
Led by GOC President Richard Akpokavie, the delegation included First Vice President Mawuko Afadzinu, General Secretary Kassim Muniru, Treasurer Evans Yeboah, and board members Kamal Sulley, George Tettey, Nathaniel Johnson, and George Owusu Ansah. They sought the Chief Imam’s blessings for their four-year term.
Sheikh Sharabutu urged the executives to “work diligently to raise the flag of Ghana very high.” President Akpokavie thanked the Chief Imam for the warm reception, promising, “We will offer the best for Ghana sports.”
The GOC executives are scheduled to fellowship with a church in Tema on Sunday as part of their post-election engagements.
