
Godwin Tamakloe, Chief Risk and Compliance Officer of Mobile Money Limited, has denied allegations that mobile money service personnel are involved in the rising cases of fraud affecting customers nationwide.
PIN Security
In an interview on Breakfast Daily on Channel One TV, Tamakloe explained that mobile money agents or staff do not have access to customer PINs. He stated, “Our staff do not have access to your PINs. The PIN is system-generated”.
System Protection
Tamakloe emphasized that the system is designed to protect customer data, with users having full control over their PINs. He added, “When you click on the button to reset your PIN, the system sends an SMS to you with the PIN in the message.”
Tamakloe reassured customers that the system’s structure makes it impossible for service personnel to access the secret PIN, thereby refuting claims of staff complicity in fraud.
