Hon. Nii Okai Laryea, CEO of Shiatse Sports Management and Promotions, has announced that his organization will be back at the Bukom Boxing Arena with another exciting entertainment and sports event in April.
He explained that his recent involvement in the General Elections, where he worked to secure victory for President John Dramani Mahama and the NDC, along with other commitments, had kept him busy. However, with the political landscape now stabilized, he is ready to refocus on sports. He praised the residents of Ga Mashie for their unwavering support of boxing, stating, “The people of Ashiedu Keteke, also known as Odododiodoo or Ga Mashie, have a deep love for boxing, and if that brings them joy, we must support it.”
According to Hon. Okai Laryea, the April event will showcase newly signed boxer Bernard Abbey, also known as Kenya, who will face a strong opponent. He assured fans that the entertainment aspect of the event will be exceptional and encouraged boxing enthusiasts to start saving for the upcoming Shiatse Promotions event.
He also advised fans to conduct themselves appropriately to attract financial investment in the sport and cautioned the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) against interfering in fight outcomes.
Meanwhile, Augustus Dodoo, also known as Onelife and director of boxing at Shiatse, has promised an exciting lineup for April 19. He hinted that the event will feature talented young boxers such as Mustapha Kamoko, Aziz Quartey, and Seidu Yussif facing off against Bernard Abbey, with the matches broadcast live on television and social media.
